I am Blanca Margarita Cruz Badillo, a physician specialized in Preventive Medicine, with a PhD in Senior Health Management and Health Policies and an MPH in Healthcare Management from the National Institute of Public Health in Mexico.
My professional path has been guided by a strong commitment to improving health systems, advancing quality in healthcare services, and promoting global health collaboration. I currently serve as a Medical Officer in the Quality Management Subdirectorate at Hospital General Dr. Manuel Gea González, where I focus on evaluating, implementing, and standardizing models that strengthen patient-centered care and institutional excellence.
Beyond my hospital work, I am deeply involved in teaching, research, and international cooperation. I have collaborated with institutions such as the World Health Organization, the Pan American Health Organization, the Open Medical Institute, and the Danida Fellowship Centre, among others.
These experiences have allowed me to engage with diverse health systems and bring innovative approaches to healthcare management in Mexico and beyond.
As a Global Health Fellow, Danida Fellow, and educator, I strive to connect science, leadership, and ethics in every project I undertake. My mission is to inspire systemic change, empower health professionals, and design sustainable health policies that improve population well-being.
